The NFL's oldest player just delivered one of the best statistical seasons of his legendary career.
Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady, 44, capped off a stellar 2021 campaign with another strong performance Sunday, racking up 326 yards with three touchdown passes in Tampa Bay's 41-17 rout of the Carolina Panthers.

Brady set a pair of Bucs records in the process, passing Jameis Winston (5,109 yards in 2019) for the most passing yards in a single season and throwing his 41st, 42nd and 43rd touchdown passes of the season to overtake his own record of 40 that he set with Tampa Bay last season.
The former New England Patriots quarterback now has an incredible 83 touchdown passes in just two seasons with the Bucs, which is second-most on Tampa Bay's all time list behind Winston's 121.
Brady's first scoring strike to running back Le'Veon Bell also extended another one of his records: He's thrown a TD pass to 92 different pass-catchers. Second on that list? Vinny Testaverde at 70.
While Brady had the benefit of a 17-game season, 2021 still was one of his best regular seasons ever.
He set career highs in passing yards (5,316), completions (485) and attempts (719) and topped 5,000 passing yards for just the second time in his career (2011). His 43 TD passes are his second-highest total behind only his then-record 50 in 2007.

Long story short: Brady is still playing at an exceptionally high level in his 21st NFL season and has an outside case for NFL MVP. Whether he can lead the Bucs to their second consecutive Super Bowl title remains to be seen.
