C's head coach Ime Udoka said Thursday that while the swelling in Williams' knee has gone down, there's still lingering soreness. The 24-year-old underwent surgery to repair a torn meniscus in the knee on March 30.
Williams hasn't looked 100 percent when he's taken the court in the playoffs, but the Celtics undoubtedly have felt his absence over the last two games. Milwaukee dominated Boston 13-4 on the offensive boards in Game 4 and 17-5 in Game 5.
Game 6 will be do-or-die for the C's as they trail the Eastern Conference Semifinals series, 3-2. Tip-off is set for 7:30 p.m. ET on Friday with coverage starting at 6:30 p.m. on NBC Sports Boston.
