Celtics-Raptors simulation: C's stun Toronto with offensive explosion

The NBA season has been put on hold for at least 30 days due to the coronavirus crisis, meaning we may have to wait until mid-April at the earliest to watch the Boston Celtics again.

As a way to make up for the loss of Celtics action, we'll be using the NBA 2K20 video game to simulate each game on the schedule until they finally return.

PREVIOUS SIMULATIONS:

The Celtics were supposed to take on the Toronto Raptors on Friday, March 20. Here's how our simulation of that game went:

Kemba Walker continues to be the MVP of these simulations, as he put up yet another 30-plus performance in this one vs. the Raptors. Not only that, but he also contributed 11 assists to help the rest of the Celtics offense get in on the action.

Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum were the benefactors of most of those dishes as they contributed 27 points apiece. It was a nice game for Gordon Hayward (19 points) as well.

Unlike our past simulations, this one was pretty realistic when it comes to the Celtics' bench scoring. Boston's second unit scored only 14 points, with Marcus Smart tallying 12 of them.

RAPTORS STATS

The Raptors had five players in double figures, but the C's really were able to limit the defending NBA champs throughout the second half. Pascal Siakam paced Raptors scorers with 22, and was followed by Marc Gasol (20). Kyle Lowry, of course, was a factor as he contributed 18 points and seven assists.

TEAM COMPARISON

The Celtics, namely Walker, Tatum, and Brown, were just deadly from the field in this sim shooting a ridiculous 60 percent from the field (55 percent from 3).

FINAL SCORE: Celtics 128, Raptors 104

That's three wins in a row for the NBA 2K Celtics as they dominated both the Bulls and Knicks in our last couple of sims.
