The Boston Celtics are finally back in action.

The C's will play their first of two scheduled preseason games Tuesday night when they take on the rival Philadelphia 76ers at Wells Fargo Center.

These teams last played in the first round of the 2020 NBA playoffs inside the league's Florida bubble. The Celtics swept the injury-plagued Sixers, who were without All-Star point guard Ben Simmons.

Both teams underwent notable changes to their rosters over the offseason.

The C's lost forward Gordon Hayward and point guard Brad Wanamaker, but added center Tristan Thompson and point guard Jeff Teague. Boston also drafted wing Aaron Nesmith and guard Payton Pritchard in the first round.

The Sixers traded forward/center Al Horford and wing Josh Richardson and brought in guard Seth Curry, forward Danny Green, center Dwight Howard and others.
