The Boston Celtics will try to end their losing streak when they host a very talented Denver Nuggets team at TD Garden on Tuesday night.
The C's have lost seven of their last 10 games and four of their last five. Sunday afternoon's defeat to an inferior Washington Wizards team was a low point for Boston in 2021. The team played poorly on both ends of the floor and didn't give enough effort in a 104-91 loss.
A similar performance Tuesday could result in an even uglier score for the Celtics. The Nuggets have started the campaign 15-11 after reaching the Western Conference Finals last season. Denver also has won three consecutive games and center Nikola Jokic is among the top candidates for MVP.

Both teams will be shorthanded.
The Celtics are without guard Marcus Smart and center Daniel Theis. The Nuggets won't have guards Monte Morris, Gary Harris and Will Barton, as well as forward Paul Millsap.
