IN BRIEF: The Celtics earned a statement win over the Toronto Raptors in Game 1 of their second round NBA playoff series inside the Orlando bubble.
The C's jumped out to a 39-23 lead at the end of the first quarter and never looked back. The 3-point shot was a huge weapon for the Celtics, who hit 17 of 39 attempts. The Raptors made just 10 of their 40 3-point attempts.
All five starters plus reserve center Robert Williams scored in double figures for the Celtics. Jayson Tatum and Marcus Smart led Boston with 21 points apiece, while Kyle Lowry paced Toronto with 17 points. Boston's defense also was fantastic, tallying eight steals, four blocks and limiting Toronto to just seven fast break points.
The Raptors are 11-2 in the bubble, and both losses have come against the Celtics.
