Did SI get it right with where the Celtics are listed on the Top 100?

BOSTON – The Celtics were one of SI's favorites when it came to putting together their Top 100 list as evidenced by the C's landing six players on the list, which equaled two-time NBA champ Golden State for the most selections from one team.

SI Senior writer Ben Golliver spoke with NBC Sports Boston’s Celtics Talk podcast about the process involved in selecting the top 100, and why certain Boston players were placed where they were – or in the case of Marcus Smart, why he wasn’t named to the top 100 list.

While I love most of the players on the list being there, I would have stacked the six Celtics a little differently.

Here’s one man’s reshuffling of the six-man deck of Celtics:

KYRIE IRVING (SI RANK No. 17)

It's a long list of ankles broken by Irving with that wickedly good handle of his. Still, in his lone season with the Celtics, Irving has shown himself to be more than just that. He has three-point range, he’s improving as a defender and is in that weird place in his career where he’s still a youngster at 26, but has an NBA title, a gold medal and five-time NBA All-Star. His status as a top 10 player is debatable, but there were a couple of players ahead of him on the list (Utah’s Rudy Gobert at No. 14, comes immediately to mind) while talented...insert emoji shoulder shrug here.

GORDON HAYWARD (SI RANK 25)

JAYSON TATUM (SI RANK 39)

JAYLEN BROWN (SI RANK 47)

TERRY ROZIER (SI RANK 82)
A strong playoff run propelled Rozier into this Top 100 list, and deservedly so. He’s going to be a restricted free agent next summer and will have plenty of suitors, for sure. While many anticipate his role will shrink some with a healthy Irving and Hayward returning, Rozier achieved something last season that’s extremely rare for a backup playing behind a perennial All-Star: he gained the trust of his coach to give him minutes - big minutes - in the fourth quarter. In fact, Rozier averaged a team-high 8.2 minutes in the fourth last season. It remains to be seen how much he’ll be on the floor this season down the
