The four Celtics - dubbed Team Shamrock by Marcus Smart - who will compete for the 12 spots on USA Basketball's roster for the FIBA World Cup in China arrived for training camp with the rest of the hopefuls in Las Vegas.

Smart, Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum already know how to play together and they'll get to work with new teammate Kemba Walker as workouts begin. They've already got their Team USA numbers picked out.

“Excited to be here, ready to compete,” Brown said in a video tweeted by USA Basketball “Got my guys here. We’ve got four Celtics here. Let’s see what we’re gonna do. It should be fun."

Said Tatum: “First day out in Vegas. Training camp, back with USA Team. I’m excited. It should be a lot of fun.”

San Antonio Spurs coach Gregg Popovich will coach the US. Walker and - if he's fully healed from thumb surgery - the Toronto Raptors' Kyle Lowry are considered locks to make the team at point guard. Tatum, Brown and Smart are likely competing with the Utah Jazz' Donovan Mitchell, the Milwaukee Bucks' Chris Middleton and the Sacramento Kings' Harrison Barnes for wing spots.

The tournament begins in China Aug. 31.
