The ball is rolling on the NBA resuming its 2019-20 season at some point in the near future, according to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.
The league's board of govern0rs had a positive call Tuesday with NBA commissioner Adam Silver and members of the NBA Players Association (including Jayson Tatum) that left participants "feeling increasingly positive about the league's momentum toward a resumption of play this season," Wojnarowski reported Tuesday night.
"Owners and executives on the call were encouraged about the league's progress toward minimizing health risk upon a return and the league office's positive conversations with the National Basketball Players Association about the players' desire to eventually restart the season," Wojnarowski wrote.

The NBA plans to make a decision about a possible resumption in the "next two to four weeks," per Wojnarowski, after considering a number of factors for safely reopening a league that's been suspended since March 11 due to the coronavirus pandemic.
So, what could reopening look like? The league would "standardize" coronavirus testing for all 30 teams and also is considering a "campus environment" in which all teams gather at one or two host sites like Walt Disney World in Orlando or Las Vegas to play out the rest of the season.
It's still unclear whether all 30 teams would return to action or whether the playoffs would begin right away, with a potential play-in tournament to give fringe teams a chance to make it in.

The Boston Celtics are entrenched as the Eastern Conference's No. 3 seed at 43-21. If the playoffs began immediately, they'd take on the No. 6 seed Philadelphia 76ers, who actually have been scouting the C's in anticipation of a first-round matchup.
The NBA still has several hurdles to jump through. Most practice facilities are still closed, and while the NBA plans to re-open 22 of those facilities by next Monday, it's possible Boston won't be one of them as the city deals with a relatively high number of coronavirus cases compared to other NBA cities.
Still, both the players and league executives appear on board with completing the 2019-20 season in some fashion, and it looks like the NBA could have a resumption plan in place within the month.
