The Boston Celtics don't seem keen on using their 2020 NBA Draft picks.
A recent report suggested the Celtics were trying to package their three first-round picks -- No. 14, No. 26 and No. 30 overall -- to trade up to a higher pick.
Now, ESPN's Zach Lowe is reporting the C's may attempt to acquire a current NBA player with those picks instead.

"Boston has also sniffed around using picks to acquire a solid veteran," Lowe wrote, citing sources.
Which "solid veteran," you ask? Lowe noted Thunder point guard Dennis Schroder "would draw strong interest" and also referenced Oklahoma City teammates Danilo Gallinari and Chris Paul in addition to Cleveland Cavaliers big man Larry Nance Jr. as players who could be on the trade block.

Three mid- to late-first-round picks aren't the most valuable trade assets, but the Celtics have plenty of motivation to move them: Boston drafted four players last summer -- the team has taken 17 players over the last four NBA Drafts -- and will face a roster crunch if it adds any more rookies.
The C's reportedly have their eye on USC big man Onyeka Okonwu, and if a chance to trade up materializes, they'll likely take it. But Danny Ainge and his staff are also in "win now" mode after a trip to the Eastern Conference Finals last season.
Whether the Celtics can find a quality NBA veteran on the right contract (Chris Paul to Boston ain't happening, C's fans) remains to be seen, but it appears they've started looking.
