We'll know which team will own the No. 1 pick in the 2020 NBA Draft late in the summer.
ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reported Thursday via Twitter that the league has set an Aug. 25 date for the 2020 NBA Draft Lottery and an Oct. 15 date for the 2020 NBA Draft.

The league's Board of Governors approved a 22-team season return format on Thursday, per Wojnarowski. Included in that plan are eight more regular season games to be played by each team. With a reported target date of July 31 for the resumption of games, all of the regular season action should be completed before the Aug. 25 draft lottery date.
The date for a potential Game 7 of the 2020 NBA Finals is Oct. 12, so the draft could come right after the playoffs end.
The 2020 draft class has garnered weaker reviews compared to the classes over the last few years, and it's not heavy on potential franchise cornerstone players.
