When Malcolm Brogdon was traded to the Boston Celtics over the summer, he knew he was joining one of the best teams in the NBA. The veteran guard wanted to land in Boston to play alongside Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown and have a shot at a championship.
Brogdon already was aware of Tatum's talents on the court, but he was caught off guard by the 24-year-old's maturity off of it. He spoke with our Chris Forsberg about what surprised him most about the Celtics superstar.

"He's really as humble and as good of a guy as they come. Especially as a superstar," Brogdon said. "It's hard to find superstars that are really as laid back and personable and classy as he is. He's a well-rounded guy."
Tatum is in the midst of the best season of his career thus far. So far in Year 6, he's averaging a career-high 30.2 points and 8.2 rebounds through 29 games while shooting 47 percent from the floor.
As for Brogdon, the veteran guard has been exactly what the Celtics bench needed. As long as he stays healthy, he'll be a key contributor for a C's team with aspirations to bring Banner 18 to TD Garden.
