The New England Patriots have a history of maneuvering in the NFL Draft, and 2022 is no exception.

The Patriots have already made three trades in the first three rounds of the 2022 NFL Draft. On Thursday, they traded down from No. 21 to No. 29 in Thursday night's first round, acquiring the Chiefs' third- and fourth-round picks at (No. 94 and No. 121) while taking Chattanooga offensive guard Cole Strange.

On Friday, they traded their second-round pick (No. 54) and fifth-round pick (No. 158) to the Kansas City Chiefs to move up to No. 50, where they selected Baylor wide receiver Tyquan Thornton.

And later Friday night, New England dealt its No. 94 selection to the Panthers, acquiring Carolina's fourth-round pick (No. 137) and its 2023 third-rounder.

Curran: Strange may be Mankins 2.0, but he can't force opponents to punt
