Antonio Brown makes instant impact with Tom Brady on Patriots' first drive vs. Dolphins

The connection between Tom Brady and Antonio Brown has begun.

Brown made his debut Sunday when the New England Patriots took on the rival Dolphins at Hard Rock Stadium.

The Patriots reportedly wanted to get the veteran wide receiver involved early in the game, and he made his first catch on Brady's first pass attempt. The 42-year-old quarterback found Brown over the middle for an 18-yard gain (click here for a replay).

Brown was targeted three times and tallied three receptions for 36 yards on New England's opening drive, which ended with a Sony Michel rushing touchdown. Brown also drew a defensive holding penalty against the Dolphins in the red zone on the drive.

The Patriots passing attack already was among the league's best without Brown, and his addition to the mix should make it one of the most talented groups the team has ever fielded. Brown is arguably the best wide receiver of his generation and has tallied a league-leading 67 touchdown receptions over the last six seasons.
