Jay Feely played alongside Tom Brady in college, but it wasn't until one specific moment during Brady's first season as a starter that he realized the Patriots quarterback was going to succeed in the NFL.

On the latest edition of The Michael Holley Podcast presented by Night Shift Brewing, Feely revealed the exact moment he knew Brady would make it as a professional QB.

"I played against him in 2001," Feely said. "I was in Atlanta, here, and he was in his maybe third start. I remember he beat us, he played really well, and there was part of me obviously you don't like to lose, your team, but there's part of me like smiling on the sideline watching my boy out there going, 'Ok, like, he can really do this. Like he can play in this league.'"

"Then fast-forward to the Super Bowl, I remember sitting in the basement with my wife watching the game," Feely added. "You know, watching Adam Vinatieri make that kick thinking, 'I can't believe he just won the Super Bowl.' Because I still thought it was that quarterback from Michigan. The guy who, you know, we hung out all the time and it was Tommy, you know, it wasn't Tom Brady. And uh, just to see what he's become, or who he's become has just been staggering."
