Julian Edelman continues Instagram campaign to keep Tom Brady with Patriots

Julian Edelman really wants the same quarterback in 2020, and he wants everyone to know it.

The New England Patriots wide receiver used Instagram on Monday to give another shout-out to Tom Brady, this time recreating the iconic 2010 photo of LeBron James dunking as Miami Heat teammate Dwyane Wade celebrates.

The clever post (the rings on Brady's hands are a nice touch) drew rave reviews in the comment section from Patriots teammates Duron Harmon and Brandon Bolden, former Boston Celtic Kelly Olynyk and the Instagram account of TB12 Sports, Brady's off-field business.

Edelman's post also is one of several he's made featuring or mentioning Brady since New England's offseason started early following a Wild Card Round loss to Tennessee Titans.

That's no coincidence: Brady will become a free agent March 18 for the first time in his NFL career, but Edelman is doing his best to convince the 42-year-old QB to stick around for another season.

Social media strategy aside, Edelman could play a major factor in whether Brady stays or goes. The 10th-year receiver is Brady's most trusted target, and if New England can surround him with more quality weapons this offseason, perhaps Brady will be swayed to throw to his pal in 2020.
