Nick Folk sets new Patriots record with impressive field goal streak

One of the most underrated additions to the New England Patriots roster over the last couple years has been Nick Folk.

The veteran kicker was signed by the Patriots in 2019 when Stephen Gostkowski suffered a season-ending injury. Folk was brought back for the 2020 and 2021 seasons, and he's been very accurate on field goals.

In fact, Folk's impressive accuracy helped him set a new team record in Sunday's Week 2 game against the New York Jets at MetLife Stadium.

Jets QB Wilson has historically bad first half vs. Patriots

Folk connected on his 32nd consecutive field goal with a kick from 31 yards out in the third quarter. 

His streak began in Week 2 of last season when he made one of two field goal attempts in a 35-30 loss against the Seattle Seahawks on the road.

Gostkowski set the previous mark of 31 straight field goals made over the 2014 and 2015 campaigns.

Folk is now 47-of-52 (90 percent) on field goals since joining the Patriots two years ago.
