Must-read recap: Something HAS to be wrong with Tom Brady

If the Patriots had played anybody resembling anything close to competent today and this would have been a game. Instead, it was a 24-12 Patriots win over the Bills. Believe me, the score looks a lot nicer than the Patriots -- and one high-profile Patriot in particular -- did.

The Pats had a messy game and ran the ball like crazy, seemingly because something is wrong with Tom Brady. Of course, they still got a 24-12 win over the Bills that clinched their 10th straight AFC East title.

Allen was actually well on their way to a third-quarter touchdown thanks to a long passing play to Jason Croom, but the young tight end wouldn't go down with multiple guys on him and ended up fumbling at the 6. If that team were even close to competent, this would have been a ballgame.

The Patriots took Brady out of the game once the victory was sewn up, with Brady finishing 13 of 24 for a season-low 126 yards with a touchdown and two picks.

Something has to be wrong.

Michel had 18 carries for 116 yards. The team as a whole ran for 275 yards, which is damn good considering the Bills actually aren't bad defensively.

After not involving James White as much in the offense over the last two weeks, the Patriots put the ball in White's hands 10 times Sunday (eight carries, two receptions). It's still a far cry from what we saw earlier in the season, but it was progress.

Now we just have to figure out why the team is so hell-bent on incorporating Rex Burkhead.
