NFL odds: Early spread for all Week 10 games with Patriots among teams on bye

Share

Week 10 of the 2019 NFL season has six teams on a bye (the most of any one week), including the New England Patriots.

The Patriots will get an extra week of rest after playing the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday night in the most anticipated matchup of Week 9. The defending Super Bowl champions will return to action in Week 11 with a road game versus the Philadelphia Eagles, who also have a Week 10 bye.

Six teams on a bye means there will be just 13 games for sports fans to bet on next weekend. There are some intriguing lines already on the board, though. Here are the opening spreads for each Week 10 matchup from the  Westgate SuperBook in Las Vegas:

One spread that stands out is the Cleveland Browns favored by 2.5 points at home against the Buffalo Bills. The Bills are 6-2, and their very talented defense should have a field day against a struggling Browns offense led by quarterback Baker Mayfield. Cleveland has lost four consecutive games after Sunday's Week 9 defeat to the Denver Broncos.

Another interesting Week 10 line is the San Francisco 49ers hosting the Seattle Seahawks as 6.5-point favorites. The 49ers are the lone unbeaten team in the NFC at 8-0, and a win over the Seahawks would give them a 3-game lead for first place in the NFC West division. The Seahawks are easily the best team the 49ers will have faced this season, so taking the points with Seattle might be worth looking hard at. San Francisco's defense has played at an elite level through eight games, but Seattle quarterback Russell Wilson is going to be very tough to slow down. Wilson is a top MVP candidate with 20 touchdown passes and only one interception in nine games.
