New England Patriots linebacker Kyle Van Noy has received the honor of AFC Defensive Player of the Week following his excellent performance in the defending Super Bowl champions' 16-10 win over the Buffalo Bills in Week 4.

The Bills had no answer for Van Noy, who led the Pats with eight tackles, two forced fumbles, three QB hits and two sacks. He also made a great play late in the fourth quarter that resulted in Bills quarterback Matt Barkley throwing an interception that sealed New England's win at New Era Field.

The last Patriots player before Van Noy to win AFC Defensive Player of the Week was linebacker Dont'a Hightower in Week 6 of the 2016 season.

The Patriots defense has allowed the fewest yards and points per game through the first four weeks of the 2019 campaign. Van Noy has played an important role in that success.
