Josh Gordon's football career has taken another turn for the worst.
The Seattle Seahawks announced Monday that the NFL has suspended the wide receiver indefinitely without pay for violating the league's policies on performance-enhancing substances and substances of abuse.
The league has suspended Gordon several times since his 2012 rookie season, including five different times for substance abuse, so it's fair to wonder if the talented wideout has played his final NFL game.

Gordon's most recent suspension before Monday's news came in December of 2018 when he was a member of the New England Patriots. Gordon was reinstated in August and played for the Patriots until October, when the team waived him as he recovered from an injury.
The Seahawks claimed Gordon off waivers, and he appeared in five games for them. The 28-year-old veteran tallied seven receptions for 139 yards and zero touchdowns in Seattle's offense.
The Seahawks will enter Week 16 as the No. 1 seed in the NFC playoff race, and losing Gordon is not an insignificant blow to their roster with the playoffs approaching.
