Belichick to voice FOX opening for World Series Game 1

If there's one person who knows a thing or two about winning championships, it's Bill Belichick. You could say he's something of an authority on winning. He's been to eight of the past 17 Super Bowls. And he's won five, the most all-time for a coach. Some consider the architect of the Patriots dynasty to be the best coach of all time.

Tonight, he will share his thoughts on making history before another team in town - the Red Sox - tries to make more of their own.

On his conference call with reporters today, Belichick talked about the opportunity to provide some voice-over work.

"it was awesome. I was honored that they asked me to do it," Belichick said. "Yeah, it was great to be a part of that. I don't really have that much of a baseball background, but the World Series is one of the great sporting events in this country and has great tradition to it, especially with these two franchises. Yeah, I'm very humbled to have been asked to participate in that. I look forward to watching some of it."

Though Belichick likely won't make it to a game..."Yeah, those are working days for us. That would be tough," he said this week...you can bet he'll be rooting for the Sox, likely while scheming up the most treacherous ways to torture the woeful Bills on Monday night.

First pitch is at 8:09 tonight on FOX.
