Rays Twitter trolls Red Sox after five-run first inning

Everything seemed to be going well for the Boston Red Sox to begin Friday night's ALDS Game 2. They wasted no time putting runs on the board vs. the Tampa Bay Rays after being shut out in Game 1.

Xander Bogaerts and Alex Verdugo notched RBI singles off Rays starter Shane Baz to give Boston a quick 2-0 lead. With ace Chris Sale set to take the mound, the Red Sox appeared to be in business.

That prompted a celebratory tweet from the Red Sox on Twitter.

"We're having a pretty good time here in the 1st. Are you?"

That's one they should've kept in the drafts.

The Rays responded by scoring five runs off Sale in the bottom of the inning. Four of those runs came on a grand slam from an unlikely source, Jordan Luplow.

That Red Sox tweet quickly came back to bite them as the Rays Twitter answered with a perfect one-word troll job.

Ouch.

Sale was replaced in the second inning by right-hander Tanner Houck with the Rays leading 5-2.
