Baseball fans can rejoice as Major League Baseball will play a full 162-game season after the league and players' union agreed to a new CBA last week.
Originally scheduled for March 31, Opening Day now is set to take place on Thursday, April 7. That's when the Boston Red Sox will begin their season with a three-game series vs. the New York Yankees in the Bronx.

Boston was supposed to open its 2022 campaign at Fenway Park against the Tampa Bay Rays on March 31. The following series was scheduled as a three-game set at home vs. the Baltimore Orioles. Instead, the Red Sox will be on the road for their first two series against the Yankees and Detroit Tigers.
The home games against the O's and Rays will be made up near the end of the season by the way of doubleheaders and a three-game series. Dates for those games have not yet been announced.
The revised schedule makes April a difficult month for Boston as sixteen of its 22 games will take place on the road. The home opener is set for April 15 vs. the Minnesota Twins at 2:10 p.m. ET.
First pitch for the Red Sox' Opening Day matchup with the Yankees is scheduled for 1:05 p.m. ET.
