SIGN UP HERE The Boston Red Sox announced their abbreviated schedule for spring training 2022 on Friday, which begins on March 17 against the Minnesota Twins.
The Twins, Boston's crosstown rival in the spring in Fort Myers, Florida, appear on the schedule seven times. The only other four teams on the docket for the Red Sox are the Tampa Bay Rays, Pittsburgh Pirates, Baltimore Orioles and defending World Series champion-Atlanta Braves.
Boston will play 19 games in a 20-day span, including 10 at JetBlue Park, before opening the regular season on April 7 in The Bronx against the New York Yankees.
