Steven Wright has been placed on the 10-day disabled list with left knee inflammation, the Red Sox announced Tuesday. The move is retroactive to June 23.
Right-handed pitcher Justin Haley was called up from Triple-A Pawtucket to fill Wright's spot on the 25-man roster. The 27-year-old made his Red Sox debut on June 13 vs the Orioles, throwing two scoreless innings. He has a 3.06 ERA and 54 strikeouts in 12 starts for Pawtucket this season.
