Red Sox vs. Tigers lineups: Chavis at 2B, Porcello on the mound

Michael Chavis is starting for the fourth consecutive game — the third straight game at second base — as the Red Sox try to salvage a split of their four-game series against the Tigers at Fenway Park Thursday evening.

The Red Sox are hoping to keep the offense rolling after putting up a season-high 11 runs on a season-high-tying 12 hits last night against Detroit.

That offensive outburst saw each member of the starting lineup reaching base multiple teams, including a season-high 10 walks, and the Sox eventually put up a crooked number of seven runs in the 8th inning to get some breathing room in an 11-4 win.

Rick Porcello will hope to benefit from some offensive support tonight. Porcello enters tonight's game with an 0-3 record and a 8.47 ERA in four starts.
