There isn't a player in baseball hotter than Trevor Story is right now.

The Boston Red Sox second baseman continues to rake after earning the American League Player of the Week award. He clubbed his ninth homer of the season in the second inning of Thursday night's game against the Chicago White Sox.

Story also hit an RBI single in the first inning. That gives him 32 RBI in the month of May and 27 in his last 15 games. According to The Boston Globe's Alex Speier, that ties Story for the most RBI by a Red Sox player over a 15-game stretch since 1950.

Suddenly, Story finds himself third in the major leagues in RBI with 37 this season. He had only 10 RBI in the first month of the campaign and has boosted his batting average from .194 to .235 since May 8. His OPS has skyrocketed from .545 to .782 since May 10.

The Red Sox have won 10 of their last 14 games, and it's no coincidence their hot streak has coincided with Story's. They'll hope to stay hot as they work their way back to the .500 mark. They entered Thursday night with a 20-23 record.
