The Boston Red Sox's 2020 season ended mercifully on Sunday as they finished the campaign with a 24-36 record.
It's the fourth-worst record in MLB as the only teams with worse marks were the Pittsburgh Pirates (19-41), Texas Rangers (22-38), and Detroit Tigers (23-35).
The good news for Sox fans? This means Boston will end up with the fourth overall pick in the 2021 MLB Draft if the order is set by teams' records. That likely will be the case, per ESPN's Jeff Passan.

When the Red Sox's season proved to be a lost cause, there was some hope they would end up with the No. 1 overall pick and the chance to select Vanderbilt right-hander Kumar Rocker. That dream is almost certainly dead, but Boston could still end up with a top pitching prospect. Vanderbilt RHP Jack Leiter, LSU RHP Jaden Hill, and Ole Miss RHP Gunnar Hoglund are a few names to keep in mind.

Notable past No. 4 overall picks include Barry Larkin (Cincinnati Reds), Kevin Brown (Texas Rangers), Dave Winfield (San Diego Padres), Thurman Munson (New York Yankees), Ryan Zimmerman (Washington Nationals), Kerry Wood (Chicago Cubs), and Kyle Schwarber (Chicago Cubs).
