The Lions-Bears halftime show was a mess

What’s a more unnerving way to kick field goals: Under the pressure of the Bears offseason kicking competition or warming up in the dark while a concert is happening five yards behind you?

Eddy Pineiro can answer that very specific question because he now has experience with both.

The halftime show for the Bears-Lions Thanksgiving game was a total disaster. The power at Ford Field went out seconds after the Brothers Osborne show started and nothing went smoothly after that. They had to halt the performance, the screen behind them went blank and no one really knew what was going on.

As a result, the show was still going on when Pineiro went out for warmups. The stadium was mostly dark and he the stage was right behind him.

Lions kicker Matt Prater’s warmup was also disrupted.
