Mitch Trubisky named NFC Offensive Player of the Week

People are starting to notice Mitch Trubisky.

Just a few days after one of Trubisky's finest games as a Chicago Bears, the 2nd-year QB has been named NFC Offensive Player of the Week:

It's a no-brainer given that Trubisky torched the Lions through the air, connecting on 23 of his 30 pass attempts for 355 yards, three touchdowns and no interceptions. He also had three rushes for 18 yards and touchdown as well.

His QB rating (148.6) from Sunday's game was the 2nd-best of his season, only slightly behind the laugher against Tampa Bay (154.6)

The award's a nice testament to Trubisky's impressive progression this season. He's currently on pace to shatter the Bears' records for single-season passing yards (3, 838) and touchdowns (29).
