Blackhawks' Andrew Shaw holds Q&A, talks funniest teammate, favorite rivalry

While we’re all staying safe and social distancing at home, it's always nice to get a chance to connect with some of our favorite players online. Earlier this afternoon, the Blackhawks’ Andrew Shaw hopped on NHL’s Twitter to do a fun little Q&A with fans (including our very own Blackhawks Talk Twitter). We learned a lot about the Hawks’ right winger this afternoon.

If Andrew Shaw could be any cartoon character, he would want to be Groot from Marvel’s "Guardians of the Galaxy." An excellent choice. But follow-up question: Which Groot would he want to be? Adult Groot, moody teenage Groot, or sweet, adorable baby Groot? Our DMs are open.

He also shed some light on some of his fellow teammates. Specifically, who he thinks is the funniest.

I would have never imagined Seabrook as the type to go around "a hootin' and hollerin’," but that’s what’s so fun about Q&As. Shaw cited himself, Zack Smith and Calvin de Haan as other jokesters in the Blackhawks’ locker room.

Shaw also shared that the teammate most likely to beat him at bowling would be Jonathan Toews.

Maybe Toews should captain a bowling team, as well.

As for keeping in shape during COVID-19, Shaw shares that he’s been working out in a home gym inside his garage.

But the teammate he wouldn’t want to be quarantined with is Patrick Kane.

Shaw says his favorite rivalry in the NHL is between the Blachawks and the Blues. Because duh.

And finally, when asked which Stanley Cup run he’d like to see covered like ESPN’s “The Last Dance,” he thought the 2015 win on home ice would be fun to watch.

I now have many, many questions about the 2015 Stanley Cup after party.
