Wallmark, who was originally drafted by the Hurricanes in the fourth round (No. 97 overall) of the 2014 NHL Draft, did not receive a qualifying offer from the Panthers, which made him an unrestricted free agent. He has 56 points (23 goals, 33 assists) in 167 games across four NHL seasons and five points (one goal, four assists) in 17 career playoff games.
