The NBA announced Thursday its 2020-21 trade deadline will fall on March 25, just over two weeks after this year's adapted, five-day All-Star break.
The first half of the NBA calendar is currently scheduled to run from Dec. 22 through March 4, 2021. The All-Star break -- which this year won't feature a game or in-person festivities -- will take place from March 5 - 10. Then, the second half of the regular season is set to run from March 11 - May 16.

The Bulls are currently scheduled to play 37 of their 72 games in that Dec. 22 - March 4 window, with the second-half regular season schedule still yet to be released at a later date. Regardless, they'll have well over half their regular-season slate completed by the time the deadline rolls around.
Two other nuggets the league announced: In a nod to the effect the COVID-19 pandemic will have on players' availability, the league is expanding its game-night active roster limit from 13 to 15. The NBA is also adopting the coach's challenge full-time after it was implemented for the 2019-20 season on a one-year trial basis. Coaches are allowed one challenge per game -- regardless of the success -- to review a called foul, out-of-bounds play or goaltending violation.
