Dust off those No. 16 Andrew Ladd jerseys, Chicago.

The Blackhawks announced Friday that Marcus Kruger will change his number to No. 22 out of respect to Ladd, who's sported No. 16 throughout his entire 11-year NHL career, including his first stint in Chicago from 2008-2010.

Kruger, who's been out since December with a wrist injury, has also spent his whole career wearing No. 16, but displayed a classy gesture by allowing the veteran to wear the number he's always worn.

"I'm going to have to do something. Very classy move on his part," Ladd said during an interview on SportsTalk Live. "I really wasn't expecting it. I was planning on picking a different number, but he offered so that was very nice of him. And from what I hear, he's a great guy, great teammate and I'm looking forward to meeting him. I'll have to do something special for him."

Ladd was acquired by the Blackhawks on Thursday in a blockbuster deal.
