Blackhawks will make White House visit with President Obama next week

President Barack Obama will welcome the Blackhawks to the White House Feb. 18 to honor the 2015 Stanley Cup Champs.

The Blackhawks will meet with Obama next Thursday at 10 a.m. Chicago time.

President Obama Tweeted out a congratulations to the Blackhawks immediately after their third Stanley Cup in six years, to which the Hawks team account responded:

 

 

 

Obama has welcomed every championship team from the major American sports to the White House since taking office.

The NBA champion Golden State Warriors just visited with the president earlier this month. This will be the Blackhawks' third trip to the White House in Obama's tenure.
