We've got Twitter beef between the Cubs and White Sox rivals from the state of Ohio.
The Reds and Indians are playing their four-game Battle of Ohio series this week, and the Reds came down on Cleveland in a pregame tweet with all the force of Cincinnati behind it.
Ahh, Cleveland. So nice, LeBron left it twice. pic.twitter.com/4kOttoLgod— Cincinnati Reds (@Reds) August 5, 2020
Oh my. That almost hurts as much as LeBron leaving the Cavaliers the first time.
The Indians account had a pretty good comeback, poking fun at Cincinnati not having an NBA team. The Reds then dug their heels even further into the joke.
They’ve never lost a game.— Cincinnati Reds (@Reds) August 5, 2020
The Sacramento Kings were known as the Cincinnati Royals from 1957-72, so, the Reds technically are right, considering Cincinnati's current (non-existent) NBA team has never lost a game.
Cleveland came back with one final attempt at winning the Twitter duel, insulting Cincinnati's notorious Skyline Chili.
Nice. Go eat some ground beef pasta or whatever it's called.— Cleveland Indians (@Indians) August 5, 2020
Good, but not good enough. The Reds win this Twitter showdown, at least according to this outsider spectator.
