Notre Dame probably will beat Army this weekend to move to 4-6, but with two awfully difficult games against Virginia Tech and USC looming to end the regular season, it would be surprising if Notre Dame finished with better than a 4-8 record.
That's unacceptable at a program that fashions itself an annual playoff contender, so the onus will be on Brian Kelly (assuming Jack Swarbrick sticks to his vote of confidence) to provide a quick fix in 2017.
