It's hard to think about any high school kid from the Class of 2023 as a veteran starter and a state champion, but that's exactly what East St. Louis freshman offensive linemen Miles McVay (6-foot-5, 320 pounds) is this winter.
McVay, who made a name for himself last January --as an eighth grader-- at the EdgyTim Underclassmen Showcase powered by EFT Football, returned to the Max Exposition Center in McCook a few weeks ago and was one of the event's top overall performers.
He was a full time starter on the last season's 6A state champion Flyers' squad last fall. He fills us in on the state championship season, his latest recruiting news and more in this video.
