The Eagles have lost two straight coming off their bye week and now they’re getting to the tough part of their schedule.
On Monday Night Football, the Eagles (3-6-1) will host the Seattle Seahawks (7-3), who have beaten them in their last six meetings.

And here are three important things to know:
1. No, the Eagles aren’t going to bench Carson Wentz for Monday Night Football, but as his struggles have continued, the Eagles are reportedly going to get Jalen Hurts some more snaps and even take Wentz off the field at times. Another report on Sunday said that Hurts got more first-team reps this week.
The Eagles welcomed this type of conversation when they drafted Hurts with the 53rd pick and now that Wentz has struggled this season, calls for the backup have been coming in recent weeks. That’s only natural. Hurts has played just 31 snaps all season and on all 31 of those plays, Wentz has stayed on the field. That is reportedly expected to change on Monday night.
We’ll see how Wentz handles all this. An important thing to note is that the Seahawks have one of the worst pass defenses in the NFL, so this is an opportunity for Wentz to turn his season around. But if Hurts comes in and plays well and Wentz continues to struggle, things could get interesting in a hurry.
2. The Eagles are going to start their 10th different offensive line in 11 games. That’s insane. The big news this week was that Lane Johnson is out for the year and needs more ankle surgery. In addition, the Eagles decided to finally move 38-year-old Jason Peters to right guard and play 23-year-old Jordan Mailata at left tackle. This is a move that’s long overdue.
Peters (toe) comes into Monday listed as questionable but if he can tough it out, he’ll get the start at right tackle. That’s the position the Eagles brought him back to play before Andre Dillard suffered a torn biceps and was lost for the season.

3. The Eagles were 5-point underdogs earlier this week but that line shifted to 6 points on Sunday afternoon. This is a tough matchup against a team that has won its last six games straight against the Eagles. And Russell Wilson is 5-0 all time and against the spread against the Eagles.
If you’re looking for a glimmer of hope, our Michael Gatti had it earlier this week. Despite the Eagles’ struggles in 2020, they have been good in primetime games. This season, the Eagles are 3-0 and 2-1 ATS under the lights. Of course, those three wins came against the 49ers, Giants and Cowboys.
