The Eagles added some defensive line depth Friday, signing defensive tackle Adam Reth, an undrafted rookie out of Northern Iowa.
Reth was in uniform and participating at the start of practice Friday morning.
Reth, a state champion high school wrestler in Iowa while at Manchester-West Delaware High School, was a two-year starter at Iowa State.
He stands 6-foot-4, 285 pounds.
Reth missed his entire junior year after being suspended by the NCAA for using an over-the-counter product that was on the NCAA’s banned list. He was allowed to practice during his suspension, and he didn’t miss a practice, despite not being able to play on Saturdays.
Reth is one of nine defensive tackles and 17 defensive linemen now on the training camp roster, which stands at 89 — one below the NFL training camp limit.
Reth had 79 tackles, 10 of them for loss, along with three sacks last year at Northern Iowa.

Other defensive tackles on the roster are Fletcher Cox, Tim Jernigan, Haloti Ngata, Destiny Vaeao, Elijah Qualls, Aziz Shittu, Bruce Hector and Winston Craig.
Reth is one of 37 players on the roster who was not on the team last year.
