Are the Sixers primed for another No. 1 pick?
A year after drafting Ben Simmons first overall, Bryan Colangelo and company appear motivated to move up for next Thursday's top selection.
The Sixers and Celtics are in serious and deep trade talks involving Boston's No. 1 overall pick, according to reports on Friday by ESPN and The Vertical.
The Sixers are slotted at No. 3. Washington's Markelle Fultz is considered the consensus top pick and, according to The Vertical's Adrian Wojnarowski, the Sixers are awaiting medical results on the guard, who could be on his way to Philadelphia for a meeting on Saturday considering how deep the trade discussions have gotten.
Per ESPN's Marc Stein, the deal would be a package of draft picks, including the Sixers' third overall pick, for the No. 1. According to Wojnarowski, the Sixers would have to also give up a future first-round pick, along with their current No. 3 selection. As a result, the Sixers' 2018 unprotected first-round selection (from the Lakers) is being discussed, per Wojnarowski's report.
At this point, it sounds like the completion of a deal is coming down to the Sixers' pulling the trigger (here's why they should). According to USA TODAY Sports' Sam Amick, the Celtics are all in for the trade.
Fultz, a 6-foot-4, do-it-all guard, attended a Sixers game back in April and talked about the possibility of coming to Philadelphia.

"Oh, man, I can see it happening," he said then in an interview with CSNPhilly's John Clark. "I think it would be a great atmosphere, so it would be cool.
"I believe I'm going to be the No. 1 pick, I think I've put enough work in to do that.
"Anybody who knows me knows that I've been through a lot in my life and I always trust the process."
