The Phillies have come to an agreement with first-round pick Cornelius Randolph, according to Jim Callis of MLB.com

Randolph will sign for $3,231,300, the full value of the 10th slot in the 2015 MLB draft.

Randolph, who played shortstop at Griffin HS in Georgia, will transition to playing left field, Phillies first-year scouting director Johnny Almaraz said last Monday.

Almaraz saw Randolph as one of the top high school hitters in the country, a smooth-swinging lefty who could develop into a middle-of-the-order bat. Randolph said last week via conference call that he models his swing and overall game after Robinson Cano.

Despite Randolph's commitment to play at Clemson, there was little doubt that the Phillies would reach an agreement.
