No Bryce Harper again: ‘Hopefully we have him soon'

Bryce Harper was not in the Phillies' starting lineup for the fifth time in six games Tuesday night.

Manager Joe Girardi did not have any definitive update on the condition of Harper's sore left wrist before Tuesday's game. After Monday night's game, Girardi said he did not believe that Harper would need time on the injured list.

"Hopefully he continues to get better and we get him out there soon," Girardi said.

Harper was hit in the face by a 97-mph fastball last week in St. Louis. Incredibly, he suffered no facial injuries. However, the ball ricocheted off his cheek and struck his wrist, causing pain and swelling. Harper sat out three days, returned Sunday and aggravated the wrist. He did not play Monday night against Milwaukee.

Here is the Phillies' lineup for the second game of the series against Milwaukee:

1. Andrew McCutchen, LF

2. Rhys Hoskins, 1B

3. J.T. Realmuto, C

4. Alec Bohm 3B

5. Didi Gregorius SS

6. Brad Miller RF

7. Roman Quinn CF

8. Nick Maton 2B

9. Aaron Nola P

The Phillies added some bullpen reinforcement before the game. They added pitcher Enyel De Los Santos and sent pitcher Cristopher Sanchez to Triple A.
