Sixers fans have their sights almost exclusively trained on James Harden's debut Friday as Joel Embiid's running mate, and for good reason. It's going to be an incredible night.
But while we have a few down days between the NBA All-Star Game and the return of games, an exciting reported leak that has less to do with substance and more to do with style has fans buzzing.
A photo dump of 40 (!) jerseys, which are purported to be never-before-seen designs coming in the 2022-23 NBA season, hit the internet this week and everyone in love with the league's fashion is pumped.

Before we go any further, we should qualify: these aren't confirmed designs yet. They could be changed before next season begins, so take this all with a grain of salt.
But there's plenty of reason to believe these are the real things, so let's dive in.

The leaks come at least in part from Twitter user @skunwong32, who has a history of getting uniform leaks right in the past. They nailed many of the 2021-22 uniforms months before they were officially revealed, so it should feel pretty good to trust this round of leaks.
NBA
Quickly, the best ones in here for me are the Hawks and Spurs City Edition designs, and the Nets and Heat Classic Edition looks. Glorious.
Now let's take a closer look at the Sixers' purported City Edition leak:
I... don't hate it? But it appears unfinished. I wouldn't be surprised if a few of those have different details when all's said and done.
I like the idea in theory of using the "Brotherly Love" script word mark the Sixers have used in the past and turning it into a design that's featured front and center across the chest. I also like the offset numbers - it's a different look for the Sixers' fairly traditional uniform set - thought I'm not crazy about the number font itself.

However, I'd be extremely surprised if the whole jersey design was little more than a white canvas, the red script and numbers, and maybe a little piping.
It also feels a bit like a mixture of the excellent 2018-19 City Edition with the blue script "Phila" over parchment uniforms and the 2019-20 Classic Edition with the "Seventy-Sixers" word mark. I liked those both a lot; this design just feels like it's missing something.
In any case, whatever the design winds up being I'm sure the Harden No. 1 jersey will be a top-seller around the Delaware Valley.
