Joel Embiid has Justin Anderson's vote for NBA MVP

The Sixers took down the Indiana Pacers Tuesday night, and to exactly no one's surprise, Joel Embiid played a key role in the 131-122 victory.

Embiid dropped a whopping 45 points on the Pacers in the tilt, including a pair of triples to help the Sixers break the franchise record for made three-pointers in a single game.

The 28-year-old big man leads the entire NBA with an average of 30.4 points per game, and once again, he's in the thick of the NBA MVP race. Denver Nuggets center Nikola Jokic won MVP last season, though many believe Embiid was more deserving of the honor.

Like last season, Embiid and Jokic are arguably the two favorites to win MVP. But if you ask former Sixer Justin Anderson, there's no question who should be given the title of MVP this year.

After the Sixers' win in Indiana, Anderson made a cameo appearance while Embiid was chatting with NBC Sports Philadelphia's Kate Scott and Alaa Abdelnaby, and he only had one thing to say.

"Give him the damn MVP!"

Anderson's tenure in Philadelphia wasn't very long. He only played in 62 games as a member of the Sixers. But during his time in Philly, he got a close-up view at just how good Embiid is. And it appears he thinks Embiid's time has come to reign as league MVP.

Hard to disagree with him.
