Vince Velasquez underwent surgery to repair a vascular issue with his right middle finger. And get this, it was successful.
Has any pro athlete ever had an unsuccessful surgery?
Either way, Velasquez took to Instagram to thank the fans for supporting him.
And as the Founding Fathers wrote in the Bill of Rights, any Philly athlete must use the #trusttheprocess.
Velasquez left his last start on August 10, after surrendering three runs in just one inning. A week and a half later, the Phils placed the flamethrower on the 60-day DL, ending his season.
Velasquez went 2-7 with a 5.13 ERA, but again continued to struggle with his command and ability to get batters out.
