Matt Nagy provides optimistic update regarding Eddie Jackson and Aaron Lynch's injuries

Good news out of Halas Hall this morning, where Matt Nagy provided the first injury updates of the week:

The Bears classified Jackson's injury as a sprained ankle in the immediate aftermath of their win yesterday, which Nagy admitted he was relieved to hear. The team was considerably less specific about Lynch's injury, only saying it was an elbow issue.

The news is obviously a fortunate break for the Bears, who are already dealing with the loss of nickle corner Bryce Callahan. Jackson is currently in the middle of a career year and leads all safeties in Pro Bowl votes. Lynch provides rare rotational pass rushing depth that few teams in the NFL can match.

The Bears have operated with excess precaution when it comes to injuries this season, and with the NFC North already wrapped up, the same can be expected with Jackson and Lynch.
