Jim Renner shot a final-round 63 to earn medalist honors at the final stage of Web.com Tour Q-School.
Renner, who was a runner-up to Jimmy Walker at the 2014 AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, will now be fully exempt on the developmental circuit for the 2017 season. The 33-year-old played on the Web.com Tour this past season, making seven cuts in 19 starts.
The top 10 and ties at Orange County National in Winter Garden, Fla., will all be exempt for the first 12 events of the 2017 season. That group includes runner-up Taylor Moore as well as Brock Mackenzie, Tom Lovelady and Derek Ernst.
Nos. 11-45 and ties will be exempt until the second reshuffle next season, meaning they have spots in the first eight events. It’s a group that includes former PGA Tour winners Chesson Hadley and Daniel Chopra as well as former U.S. Amateur runner-up Corey Connors and former NCAA individual champ Cameron Wilson.
The 2017 Web.com Tour season will begin with the Bahamas Great Exuma Challenge, held Jan. 8-11, followed by the Jan. 22-25 Bahamas Great Abaco Classic. The top 25 players on the regular-season money list will be guaranteed PGA Tour cards for the 2017-18 season.
