It didn’t take long for Patrick Rodgers to make his mark on the Web.com Tour.
In his first full year as a pro, the 22-year-old took home the Tour’s second event of the season, the Colombia Championship in Bogata, beating Steve Marino in a playoff.
Four back of Marino, Chase Wright and Rod Pampling to start the final round, Rodgers posted a Sunday 65 to tie Marino at 17 under through 72 holes and force a playoff.
After having the first extra hole with pars, Rodgers birdied the second playoff hole, the par-4th ninth at Bogata Country Club, to take home his first professional title.
Rodgers, the former Ben Hogan award winner, turned pro last June and has played in four PGA Tour events this season, most recently finishing T-56 at the Humana Challenge.
For his victory in Bogata, he’ll take home $144,000.
